Art
The artistic works, photography, documentaries, paintings, video art, performance and any other form of art that conceives water are chosen and selected with the aim to bring the visitors of the exhibits in touch with diversity, and through the eyes of an artist discover something new, a new language to be explored.
The exhibits have the idea of showing water in its realities and how water is in its different forms and through this in how many forms we can perceive water and be perceived. The installations are thought and structured so that the visitor becomes an actor, a fundamental element for the dialogue with diversity. In this occasion, with the works of international and local artists, the works of the children are exposed with the Installation of Drawing Cloud created by Paolo Altieri.

AQUA Festival Returns to Salina: Celebrating the Value of Water
Salina, September 2025 – The AQUA Festival is set to return to the picturesque island of Salina, bringing together artists, experts, and the local community to explore and celebrate the essential value of water. This year’s edition will feature a dynamic program of events, fostering a necessary dialogue on water conservation, sustainability, and its cultural significance.
AQUA is more than a festival; it is a movement that aims to raise awareness of the importance of water through art, science, and community engagement. The event will host renowned artists whose works reflect the profound relationship between humans and water, as well as scientists and environmental experts who will share insights on water-related challenges and solutions.
One of the festival’s highlights is the involvement of local schools, allowing students to engage directly with experts and artists. Through interactive workshops and discussions, young minds will be encouraged to reflect on their role in water preservation and environmental stewardship.
Set against the stunning backdrop of Salina, AQUA seeks to inspire both locals and visitors to rethink their relationship with water and embrace sustainable practices. Through exhibitions, performances, and educational activities, the festival will spark meaningful conversations about water’s role in our daily lives and the urgent need to protect this vital resource.
Join us in Salina for this unique celebration of water, art, and sustainability.
